I SHOUT SENSE.
Back from Hiatus!

Wow. It’s been like 2 months? Not sure. Anyway, I have been very busy that’s why I wasn’t able to update this blog. Anyway, I was thinking of making this promise to my blog: Document everyday of 2012! Heck, if this will be the last year, might as well take note of everything! :) Right? Heehee. Belated Merry Christmas everyone!

Reblogging just because I really love this song!

Hip Hop Dance training (Day 2)

Okay, after the Uncuffed party, my friends and I were able to sleep for like, 4 hours only. I decided not to go to dance practice later that afternoon because my body is in pain. But, my classmate told me I should attend and dance because it will decrease the pain, plus, I will participate in the intro part of the dance. So, from Paranaque, I went to my home in Cavite to shower and get my training clothes. Then, I rushed to Quezon city to meet them. As expected, the others were late. This time, only 7 of the 20 made it to practice. Understandable. Sunday really is a bad time for practice as it’s designated for family day and church. Some others had appointments and are still in their respective provinces.

We practiced at this Badminton center in Amoranto. It didn’t take us 5 minutes to sweat so much! By the end of two hardcore hours of dancing, even our undies are soaked in sweat. I have never sweat that much in my entire life!

I was really thankful that we didn’t extend until 6pm because my every fiber of muscle in body is just screaming in pain. Plus the fact that I really wanted to get back home. So from the badminton center, I rode a jeep to Lawton. From Lawton, I rode a van to Baclaran (actually, this van should get me to Cavite straight away but since there were only 4 passengers, the driver decided against it and dropped all of us off at Baclaran. He didn’t charge us anyway so I’m fine with it.) I rode a jeepney to SM Bacoor then a tricycle to my house. Phew! Jam-packed day! This morning, I woke and found myself unable to move without hurting.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be back to normal because I have my driving lessons at 11am. Wish me luck!

UNCUFFED: It’s About Time You Taste Freedom

So here’s the party I was talking about in the previous post! It’s a party brought to us by the UP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants and R18 Vodka Knockers.

The party started out as a disappointment but quickly picked up the pace as the night went on. It was really fun and wild! When everyone was given drinks as midnight came close, someone started throwing his drinks at people and then another person did the same thing and everyone went crazy and wet and sticky with vodka! It was really fun even though some alcohol got me in the eye and it really stung me. But that’s not the epic win. Since everyone threw their drinks at everyone, the dance floor was wet and slippery. I freakin’ slipped. I really fell and lied down as if the dance floor was my bed. Talk about humiliation! But I quickly shrugged it off since a junior jock from RX 93.1 helped me back to my feet. He’s really sweet. :) Anyway, we really danced the night away and were able to finish the party.

Here are some photos from the event:

None of us where ready for this photo. Lol. (I rode the taxi and LRT wearing this. People were staring at me like I was: a. HOT =)) b. Slut c. Going to some halloween party and I’m this goth chick. Lol)

Made new friends with Seph Campinha (left) and Gino Arellano (right). They are really fun to be with and it’s like we’ve known each other for so long. Instant click! These people are my best friend’s classmates in DLSU. They are so, so, so smart. I love it when I meet people who are like geniuses and still get to party!

This is the after-everyone-sprayed-alcohol-on-everyone look. All of us were really sticky! Good thing I kept the beanie I bought from Forever 21 earlier that night before I went to the party!

Me and my best friend posing for the camera. At this point, we are really tired. On the left side is one of my really good friends, Deanna. She’s one of the organizers of the party. Awesooome! Stickyyyy! Wasteeed!

One more picture before leaving. We all had a sleep over at Rae Anne’s place (purple stripes!). Thanks for letting me borrow some clothes and slippers! Love you!

Okay, craziest party I’ve been too!

There’s going to be another one this November 26 and hopefully, I’ll be able to attend. My friend, Karla (between me and Rae Anne) is one of the organizers of that event so I’m excited for that! Hopefully, we’ll have more friends with us, high school and college friends (mostly, DLSU people. My classmates from UST are really serious with studying). Hopefully, the guy I like will be there too. I tried many times to make him come this party so that I’ll get to spend time with him but to no avail. Awww. Lol.

Okay, I’m done. :))

Hip Hop Dance Training (Day 1)

Last Saturday, I went to Cubao for dance practice. You see, there’s this competition in our batch. We are up against 9 sections in the 2nd year, College of Nursing. Hi. I’m a nursing student! I had my godmother take me to Cubao because I didn’t know how to get there. I come from the south, you know. So we rode a bus to Baclaran and then the LRT. We ended up in Farmer’s Plaza. Our meeting place was at Gateway mall. We noticed the large mass of people below the overpass. We realized that that day was scheduled for Willie Revillame’s Willing Willie show at the Araneta later that evening. Moving on, I arrived at the meeting place 30 minutes earlier. I had to wait for my groupmates for, like, 3 1/2 hours? I wasn’t at all bothered by their tardiness because I was thinking of the party I will attend that night and also, my full bladder. (I had no idea you had to pay to pee at this mall! Lol)

So anyway, only 11 of the 20 dancers made it to practice because some of them are in the province. This is because of the semestral break. Anyway, my classmate’s house is really fascinating! I’ve never seen anything like it! Their house had a portion just for the guests! There are separate rooms for boys and girls. A Jacuzzi is located steps away for the guest rooms. And if you climb up the stairs, you’ll find this swimming pool and this wide room that’s obviously for entertainment. Their house is still undergoing renovations but it already looks great! Their place makes my house look like a nipa hut. Lol. I fell in love with the interior design and the walls. I was surprised to see that their house has hidden cameras. Every move you make is caught on tape.

So back to the subject at hand, we danced. First, we had this freestyle dance wherein we “showcased” our “skills.” Only 3 are dancers in the group. I am not one of them. So for day 1, we finished 18 seconds of the routine. I was overwhelmed by this thought because the transitions are so fast! It was really tiring but fan.

When the clock reached 5pm, we started getting ourselves together and prepared ourselves for leaving. I needed to get back to my dorm fast because as mentioned earlier, I had a party to attend to. Will tell you all about this on the next blog post. Anyway, I got a little bit lost but thanks to the guard at Farmer’s plaza, I was able to get on the right train and to the Recto station. I am also thankful for this guard in Recto because he taught me where I can ride a jeepney to UST. (Yes, I am a 2nd year nursing student from the UST College of Nursing! That’s two more things you know about me!)

I quickly climbed up to the 5th floor because that’s where my room’s at. Showered for 5 minutes then got dressed, rode a taxi to back to recto station and then the lrt for the edsa station where I’ll meet up with my best friend. Okay, this post ends here. Will continue on the next blog entry! :D

Treat yourself this sembreak.

Today, I had nothing in mind but to pamper myself…

  • Get my hair trimmed.
  • Get my eyelashes permed.
  • Foot spa.
  • Manicure.
  • Pedicure.

However, things didn’t go exactly as I planned.

I went to Freshaire salon for a haircut. I wanted to try out their services and see if it’s nice. I had to wait for 30 minutes just to get my hair trimmed but I guess it was worth the wait. The lady who cut my hair was really nice and her hands did a good job in taming my hair. She advised me to get another trim after 2 months so that the dry ends would get cut off. Actually, that was my plan. People said it helps your hair grow longer faster. Anyway, she asked if I’d like to rebond my hair. Of course, I said no. This is due to the fact that I am a student nurse and I would always need to keep my hair in a bun.

Afterwards, I went to Let’s Face It Salon. I planned to get my eyelashes permed here after I did my research on the internet. For only Php 280.00, you get that vavavoom lashes you’ve always wanted! However, it didn’t happen in my case. They advised me against it because the skin around my eyes is thin. I really didn’t know what it meant but I took their advice since they’re the professionals. They asked if I wore contacts (no), and if I used products on my face that could have a thinning effect on the skin. I use a lot of products on my face so I really didn’t know which is the culprit. They advised me to stop using it and come back some other time. I will still ask my dermatologist on this. Too bad, I really wanted lashes that makes my eyes pop. Believe me, I tried the blowdryer method, mascara, curler, everything! My efforts were all in vain.

I went straight to Nailaholics nail salon & spa for a mani/pedi and foot spa. It was my first time there. My hands and feet are now thanking me for treating them today. I went for a Gold Coast Manicure, Pedicure, and Foot Spa with Mud Mask. Everything was okay except for the fact that there seems to be a drama among the employees there. Tip: Be professional. Do not let your clients see your negative emotions and verbalize. Practice control. You not only carry your name but the place you work for as well. I have no intentions of putting this spa down. I just needed to make a point here. Anyway, the other staff apologized in behalf of the person who’s having issues (the lady with issues was assigned to me! I was a bit frightened.) Anyway, I had my nails painted a glittery silver for the party this Saturday. It will go well with my shiny, faux-leather black mini-dress. I am so excited for Uncuffed!

Afterwards, I bought two shorts from SM Surplus and a shirt from Artwork. I am planning to cut the shirt according to my design. I only spent Php730.00! It’s cheap but they are awesome finds! I have to be frugal with money. Lol.

And now, I shall “study” for my first hands-on driving lessons tomorrow! Thanks to A-1 driving, I shall hit the road tomorrow. Hi, I’m anxious.

Kapag kumakain sa fastfood, ugaliing itapon ng sarili ang tira tira, kahit na ba may mga waiter. It’s good practice. Kahit sa bahay, clean up after yourself even if you have a maid. Let’s put an end to senyorito/senyorita culture, it would be very good for us Pinoys :)

I observed in the United Arab Emirates that they cleaned up after themselves. Filipinos should also do this for a change.

Bloggers Congress 2

Yesterday, I went to the De La Salle University-Manila to attend this event. I was so psyched because I will get to see two of my favorite bloggers, Camille Co and Saab Magalona! I also got to meet two other bloggers Anton Diaz and Rob Cham. Christian San Jose didn’t make it so Rob Cham (robcham.com) took over. It was really a fun learning experience for me.

So this is Rob Cham. This is the only clear shot I have of him (I brought the wrong lens!) Anyway, he’s such a funny guy. I love his voice. He told us the story of how he started out as a blogger, how fat he was during high school, and how he is fun-employed now. He was with his girlfriend, Patrice (poeticallystupid.tumblr.com), and I must say that they are the cutest couple ever! I was seated right behind them so I was able to see how sweet they are to each other.

The next speaker was Anton Diaz. I’m not able to post the pictures that I took as they are over 5MB. I’m still figuring out how to lower the size but, maybe next time. Lol. So I was really amazed by him because blogging really opened a lot of opportunities for him. He gets to eat and travel a lot because of this! It’s like his job is to have fun. Me gusta. I also admire his love for his wife, kids, and of course, the Philippines. He’s so awesome!

The third speaker is Ms. Camille Co. The first time I saw her, I was speechless. She is so tall, so beautiful, so model-esque! Her fashion sense is so awesome! Her skin is so worthy of its own commercial! I was surprised to find out that she doesn’t get to shop nowadays because her sponsors always give her free stuff to endorse. Wow. Don’t you wish you had your own sponsors? Gosh.

The fourth and last speaker was the reason I attended this event. Ms. Saab Magalona. The moment she entered the room, I was totally starstruck. She is so beautiful! She is so funny and spontaneous. She told us how she got into the world of blogging and all her past teen angst. Lol. I love the fact that even though she is a celebrity blogger, she still considers her young readers when it comes to accepting endorsements. She didn’t accept an offer for an alcoholic beverage brand because she didn’t want to be a bad influence. She drinks, yes. But she will not promote it. Awesome! Gosh, she’s pretty.

After all the speakers received their certificate, everyone went to the lobby of the Yuchengco hall for the meet and greet. I feel so lucky I was able to take my picture with Camille Co and Saab Magalona! Thank you to my bestfriend, Shayne (woahsomeshong.tumblr.com) for taking them and also coming with me to the event!

So this is me with Saab. :”> Hi everyone, yes, this is me. Lol. Hi.

This is me and Shayne with Camille Co. We felt so intimidated by her height. We should have worn sky-high heels. Lol.

Anyway, the purpose of the Bloggers Congress is to gather bloggers everywhere and spread the word for a very special day, October 15. Their office will send us an email to talk or blog about a certain issue our world is facing. This October 15 event is said to be worldwide. Bloggers are everywhere and can increase awareness by doing their thing, blogging. So far, I’ve received no email from them so I’ll just wait for it and post it some other time.

RE-INTRO

Hello everyone. I am back in the world of blogging! Oh yeah, wait. Proper intro…

Hi. My name is Mayee. I used to blog here on tumblr about 2 years ago (or more). It went on for that long because I wanted to forget all the painful things that happened in the past that can be found in my blog. But, I will not dwell on that. I shall tell you bits of my life when the mood strikes me. Anyway, I decided to get back on tumblr now because I really need an outlet for all the thoughts in my head. I was interested in vlogging but I’m such a noob with the editing process so I’m stuck with this. I actually did vlogging before but I deleted it because of my noob-idity. Lol.

Random facts:

  • Less than two months away from becoming of legal age.
  • Equipped with a nomadic mind.
  • Has an alter-ego named Jennifer. (Will make a separate blog post about this)
  • Wants to have a pet dog, who shall be named “Bochog”, and a pet cat, whom I’d like to call “Fib”.
  • Favorite color: Teal!
  • The Awesome Jill of All Trades. Master of None.
  • …you’ll learn a lot about me as this blog goes on.

Hopefully, you guys may learn a little something from me in one of my future ‘serious’ posts. Lol. I am a frustrated writer! Actually, I’m a frustrated… well, at everything! Like what is mentioned above, I am the master of none!
